I am very pleased with this collage, hope the photos do it justest. I need to come up with a cool set up/ back drop for my collages, for when I'm taking the photos.
can you see the shimmer?

can you see the shimmer?

Last night I created my 1st two pages using my digital studio. I used my weeding photos, something that was so unexpected was that stamp set I used to make my wedding invitations and guest book is in My Digital Studio… so cool. The stamp set is Baroque Motifs. My pages are very simple not a lot of layers or embellishments. I found a blog 2stampis2b that has examples of where you can take your pages. The examples that she has are mad from scratch not the premade templates that my digital studio has. Her blog is… http://www.2stampis2b.com/2009/09/my-digital-studio-blitz-july.html
This next page is from 2stampis2b just to show you one of her pages.

I had the day off…. And I had the apartment all to my self. So I tried out picnik, my sister told me about picnik a few weeks ago and I order it. I tried it out just for a few min to see what it all about but really did do anything with it. But today I did some editing of my wedding photos and engagement photos. I had some fun… I am currently in the process of making some 12x12 digital pages of my wedding (just working on it here and there). I might be working on it a bit more now that I have My Digital Studio from Stamp in Up but that is another blog.
The engagement photos were done by my friend Emily and her website is http://www.emilyhoude.com/
Before
After: In this photo I only made slight changes; I used Vignette, Blemish Fix, Sunless Tan (on my arm), and Teeth Whiten
My wedding photos were done by Deckard photography and there website is http://www.deckardphotography.com/
Before
After: In this photo it is a little more noticeable that I made changes; I used 1960, Sepia, Orton-ish, Vignette, and Fancy Focus

Well I’ve done my 2nd collage. Don’t know if I’m done with it going to show it to my sister see what she has to say. Her blog is http://cottagewall.blogspot.com. This collage means a little more to me, the photo I am using is of my grandparents on there wedding day. Need to try something different with the tissue paper that has been printed on. This time it smudged more then I would like. I have been using matte gel medium think I am going to try mod podge don’t now if that would work… just had the idea of trying hair spray. Don’t know if it will work, I will let you know. Or I could one of my fixative finishing spray I still have from drawling class.
Haven’t posed in a little bit…. Been busy. I am on my last day of my 5-day vacation so sad, I don’t what it to be over. I have been working on trying to do so transfers that didn’t come out so great…. It is true can’t use images from my printer have to go use a copier. So after tryout a few things I stared my 1st collage. I know I am not suppose to say that I am not happy or anything bad about my own work, something I was tout along time ago in art class. But this collage wasn’t really what I was aiming for. I think it is a little tacky lol. But I am just getting stared. Like I have talked about before it is hard for me to do layer and layers of stuff. This was hard for me but love it. I just keep having ideas just need to work those ideas out of my head and on to paper. I think I might try a different approach for my next one, not to work from an idea but to find an image and see what I come up with for an idea. Let the image speak to me.
Thought I would show u my test runs. The bottom two are using images from my printer, the ink would not stay. The top/middle image if form a copper at my local library. What I had seen said to use a sponge but found that to be too rough. I used the sponge to wet the paper but then used my finger to rub away the paper that I found worked better.
The transfer and the original image
After adding paint to the transfer

Stamps: Charming and Congrats both Stampin UP
Paper: Sahara Sand, Old Olive, River Rock (In color 2008), and Close to Cocoa all Stampin up

Ink: Chocolate chip, close to cocoa, bashful blue, and now I can’t remember… used one more color with the tag it was a orange color all Stampin up
Accessories: Shimmer paint on dotes under congratulations, “Flirty” ribbon originals, dimensionals under tag, (all Stampin up,) and pearl perle not Stampin up from a local srapbooking store.

Lately I have been working on changing my website www.photographybylacey.com I’m still not done but it now looks how I want it to. I still have tones of photo to add, and still one more glitch I need to fix. But when I add my prices & packages page it will all be fine.
Made my third trip down to see Daniel, took some more photos. He was defiantly more a wake this time, (more difficult) almost a mouth old now. He didn’t like being naked so that is why I think he finely peed on his mommy twice… had to laugh at her lol. He is still such a cutie.
I know now why photographers say to do newborn photos in the first 4 to 8 days of being born. Yes because they do keep there fete tucked in…. which is so cute. Second they stay asleep (I think… only done one newborn session, I know that is not the case all the time but more likely…. I think). Third they do change so fast.

The back of the card
The 1st card, very simple (I don't know why it is a greenish
2nd card needed a little something so added the film strip
3rd card didn't know if the film strip was too big so made

Something I have found that I love…. Digital scrapbooking. I’ve tried scrapbooking before not to pleased with the turnout. I can’t remember how I fell upon this but glade I did. There is a lot of free stuff out there that is nice. My digital scrapbooking file has both free and things I have purchased. Two of my favorite sites right now are http://www.twopeasinabucket.com and http://www.houseof3.com
My latest project was a book for my sister, mother, and myself of the newest member of the family, Daniel.
Something I am trying to do is have more layers to my pages. My pages are very simple not many layers. So I am trying to force myself to add more… not always a good thing but some times it is just cute.

mommy and baby boy, he is just too cute not to kiss
